Livingston is a suburban township located in Essex County and has a population of approximately 29,366 residents. The Livingston school district contains six elementary schools, grades K-5; two middle schools for grades 6 – 8, and one high school. In 1998 Livingston High School received the Blue Ribbon Award, the highest honor that an American school can achieve, from the U.S. Department of Education. Livingston High School is ranked 16th in the state for 2014, according to the NJ Monthly Magazine.
Livingston Mall – Town Center – St. Barnabas Hospital are all landmarks in the community and most everyone in town will eventually take a walk around ‘the oval’ at the Livingston High School. There are many shopping areas spread out from JFK Parkway to South Livingston Avenue all along Northfield Avenue and Mt. Pleasant Avenue which becomes Route 10 and easy access to Route 280.
There are hundreds of condos built in the last 20 years at The Fairways, The Regency Club, Town Center and The Pointe, which is an active Adult Community.
