At Towne Realty Group, most of our clients are focused on finding the best home, good schools and figuring out how long it will take them to get to work. Commuting into Manhattan is a huge draw for our buyers and the NJ Transit Midtown Direct Train has made our local towns extremely desirable. Getting into Manhattan in under an hour can be a challenge during rush hour, but in our local towns, it’s a breeze. Short Hills, NJ has long been referred to as a ‘Bedroom Community’ for Wall Street. Some joke that homes overlooking two of our private ponds are known as ‘On Goldman Pond.’ (Referring to the number of partners of Goldman Sachs, who reside in Short Hills, NJ.)
In many towns, there was no way to get into NYC without a connection to the Morristown line. The only route for public transportation by train, in and out of New York, was with a transfer. For years riders of the Erie Lackawanna train had to stop in Hoboken and take a path train into NY, or hop on a bus into Port Authority. If you happen to live within walking distance of the train or the bus, you are in luck. If not, you have to figure out a place to park and we have outlined how that can work for you in various towns, below.
While a convenient commute to New York City is a major factor for Towne Realty Group clients, the Morristown line can also deliver students to and from the best private and parochial schools throughout Essex, Morris and Union Counties. Whether you are commuting east or west, professional or student, the Morristown line is convenient and runs with great frequency.
Towne Realty Group Salesperson Richa “Ricky” Garg has become an expert for commuter questions. Ricky, by the way, with only three years in the business was recently nominated for “Outstanding Rookie” at the 19th Annual Luxury Real Estate Fall Conference. She is closing in on almost $20 million in sales in 2014. Pretty amazing for someone in the business only three years and fairly new to the United States; Ricky relocated to the USA from India in 2007!
“My clients depend on me to have commuting facts handy when they are hunting for a home. One of the big questions I hear is: ‘How close is the train station?’ The other is, ‘Where can I parK?’ ” Ricky, a Short Hills resident, said. “People spend a lot of time at their jobs, and my clients are looking for as easy a commute as possible. Our lives are hectic enough. An easy commute is key to maintaining a sense of balance between work and family.”
Ricky is the type of thoughtful professional we have at Towne Realty Group and she’ll help you find the right house in the right town to strike that balance. You can reach her by text or cell at 973-941-9739, or email at email@example.com
