Since we started Towne Realty Group just under 5 years ago, it has always been important for us to support local and national causes that have a personal meaning to us and our clients. Many of us have friends and family that have been affected by breast cancer in some way so we decided to get Pinked.
Mike Mueller from Are We Connected.com offered anyone with interest to have a pink frame and pink ribbon placed on his or her photo to be used in an effort to raise awareness for Breast Cancer during October. I requested he ‘PINK’ everyone in my office and it turned into a lot of fun on facebook, on our website, Mike’s blog, our blog and in the local newspapers.
This month you will see large color ads in newspapers, on twitter and
facebook postings, and in many of our marketing materials where we are wearing our ribbons or have gone pink. We leveraged our everyday marketing and technology expertise we use for our clients, for a great cause. It has been fun coming up with this idea, brainstorming with our marketing expert and watching it come to reality. Our entire team at Towne Realty Group are showing our support of breast cancer in other ways, too. Whether it’s through participating in a walk-a-thon, making donations or giving of our time, we are finding ways to show we care.
With all of us involved in our communities in some way, this isn’t new to us, it’s just a way of life. We are always giving back to our towns and supporting some of the many great causes around us. For example, just last month Towne Realty Group supported the Third Annual Jake’s Ride for Dystonia Research in Short Hills, NJ. We are also part of garden clubs in our communities, coaches of school teams, members of the Millburn-Short Hills, Maplewood and West Orange Chamber of Commerce, and the list goes on and on. We support Youth Baseball, The Millburn Fire Department, The Luminary Fund in Summit, Educational Funds, The Jersey Animal Coalition and we donated $2,000 to local high schools for Scholarships in 2010.
We enjoy being a part of the community in any way we can and we know that working together and helping each other is what makes communities work and thrive today. I am even on day 14 of my challenge to eat at the Millburn Deli
for 30 days straight in October, in honor of their anniversary. I believe it is important to support all of our Chamber businesses that are currently being affected by construction of the bridge in Downtown Milburn, NJ. Everyone at Towne Realty Group is making an effort to shop and dine in our Downtown.
It is so easy for us to talk about the many communities we serve when buyers are looking to move into the area. Whether they are looking for homes for sale in Millburn and Short Hills, NJ or homes for sale in Maplewood, NJ or homes for sale in West Orange, NJ; it doesn’t matter, we know the towns because we are involved in some way all the time.
Watch out for Towne Realty Group being “pinked” near you and don’t forget to show a little pink in support of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Just wait until Halloween because we have a another trick up our sleeve for that weekend.
